Blackbirds and Sparrowhawks have to be up there with my favourite birds and make autumn at Spurn heavenly. I have been fortunate enough to witness one of the biggest Blackbird falls at Spurn with 10,000 birds recorded on the 7th November 2004. This day is still and probably always will be one of the best days I have ever had since I started birding and was the best introduction to Spurn you could wish for.
