It is incredible to think this stunning little bird crossed the north sea having fledged a beautiful ground nest in amongst riparian willow & birch shrub thickets in some gorgeous part of northern Fenno-Scandia. Not only are they Stunning but their breeding ecology is also mind blowing making them a truly awesome bird to discover anywhere in the British Isles!

However I still can't work out how Oriental Cuckoos Cuculus optatus worm their way into the nest though and probably will never know! One of those unanswerable questions that makes me love nature even more.
