My Auctioned Art

To take my mind off the news that a Juvenile Pallid Harrier (my absolute dream bird to see in Britain along with Two-barred Greenish)had made landfall on Fair Isle in 2011 rather than 2010 or 2009 I thought I would upload some art that I have been promising to upload on my blog!

The following pieces are bits I pieced together for the art auction at Spurn last week to raise money for the Observatory

It must be said that the colours in the paintings are not truly portrayed by the scanned image and some of the finer details and therefore image quality has been lost so please forgive me

Collared Pratincole, Humber Shore, Spurn, April 2011

Adult Male Montagu's Harrier, flying south east out to sea, Spurn, May 2011

'RIDERS OF THE STORM' aka Swifts a Spurn specialty heading south over the narrows in front of an electrical storm
